Generations Warpath (Part 2)

http://toyspileup.blogspot.sg/2015/01/generations-warpath-part-2.html

This week we continue with Warpath in Robot mode

Robot mode:

The first thing that come to my mind when i saw Warpath in Robot mode is Iron-man's War Machine. Like War Machine, this figure not only looks heavily armored but it also possessed some really cool firearms.

The design of the figure follow closely to the G1 design retaining his main features like the covered mouth head design, the heavily armor limbs as well as the signature red-brown primary color.

The figure looks well balanced and did not disappoint a bit even from the rear. I like the way the trackers are placed in the robot mode, forming the rear of his arms and bottom of his foot. I wonder if he skates or walks with the trackers under his foot.

Headshot:

Here you find a reproduced distinct covered mouth that is one of Warpath's signature feature. There are also a few more details added to make him extremely mean looking. Check out the forehead design!

Details:

The upper body is heavily armored and packed with some outstanding details.

The proportions are well defined but somehow the waist area reminds me of MP01.

Left: Very nice silver and gold paint apps details on his shoulder.
Right: His forearm looks huge. At first glance, I thought there might be some gimmicks but there isn't.

On the top of his left shoulder is a missile launcher that actually shoots.  The tail of the missile strangely protrudes far beyond his body depth making it look ridiculous. Can't think of any reason why its designed this way.

The feet looks as good as his G1 design except that this figure is packed with more details enhanced by the silver paint apps especially on the trackers.

Accessories & Gimmicks:

Warpath doesn't come with any weapons or accessories. The only fun thing to play is the missile launcher.

Articulation:

Warpath has a decent amount of articulation. The usual shoulders and elbow joints as well as the thigh and knee joints are all there. However if you can see, the forearms are quite huge which will hinder some movements during posing. Other that this, everything seems good.

More pictures to share:

Warpath trying the 'arc reactor' blast....More like firing rounds from his cannon on his chest. Someone please clear the shells.

Final words:

I want to again thank Hasbro for hearing the cries from fans to finally release this character in Deluxe class. The previous two releases that comes in Legends class are disappointing.

This character has so much to offer as you can see from this release; producing one of the better looking tank and robot mode. Playability is high despite the lack of extra accessories or  gimmicks. This is not only due to the mounted weaponry that are fun to play with but also the figure being well balanced making him easy to pose. All in all, I would recommend getting this figure.
